Link Building? Cant I just add metatags?

In the stone ages you could build a site and tag it correctly and the search engines would have you at the number one spot. That isn't the case anymore. Search engines are looking to see if you are credible. They do this by seeing how many links you have to your site and who is linking. If you are getting backlinks from sites that have millions of views per day and are internationally known than your site will be listed at number one in no time. If your site is getting a link here and there from another blog that gets a hit everyonce and a while than you should find another business. I'm just kidding. Link building takes time. Go to the videos tab and watch some videos on backlinks and link building. Im sure you will have a better understanding once you leave.
